Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14th 1988) was an American actress, singer as well as a dancer. She started her Broadway career with musicals like Wicked, Legally Blonde, as well as Hair. Her role in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel was rewarded with the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actress in a Play. Annaleigh Ashford, a Tony Award-winning actor as well as director, has spent the bulk of her career working alongside prominent directors and actors on screen and in television. Ashford is scheduled to be as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the musical. Ashford was last seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis that saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the first impeachment proceeding in America during the Over 100 Years. Ashford starred for two seasons in the CBS popular comedy B Positive. The show was developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not new to Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role in the role of Essie. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway credits. She was born and grew up in Denver Ashford currently splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.
